How 20 Years old Tushar Ganeriwal built Fact Curating Platform Rochak Tathya for 4 Million Indians
Tushar Ganeriwal founded Rochak Tathya on 28th October 2017, on his 17th birthday. He was 14 years old when he realised that the traditional part of becoming a doctor or engineer was not something he wanted to pursue. That is why, at a very early age, he started looking for opportunities to branch out.
At the time, digital marketing boom was just taking over the world and Tushar was one of the first few people in India to recognize this. When he was just 15, he was hired by 9apps to manage their social media pages and he was paid a measly sum of 7000 rupees per month for this. Even though it was a good capital for someone his age, he knew that this was not where he wanted to stop and after a few months he quit his job to explore bigger things.
Tushar knew then that he wanted to start his own company, but the capital was a big issue for him. He knew because he was just 16 years old no one would fund him, so instead of getting disappointed he made a “Capital Plan”. In his capital plan he noted many ways to generate capital. He then started looking for companies whose social media was poorly managed.
With some luck and hard work, he was hired by a news channel in Dubai and within a couple of months, he increased the reach of their social media pages massively. Now after this, Tushar had enough capital to start his own Portal. Tushar also recognized that to grow more, he would have to dive deep into the sector and he started researching even more.
Very soon, he discovered that there was an untapped market of the audience on Facebook. He realized there was a lot of content for English and English audience, but no one was paying attention to the Hindi audience. He instantly and launched his first page, गुदगुदे चुटकुले. Within two months, he had more than 1 million followers on this platform. Within 4 months, He recovered the invested money and his portal became profitable. Now Tushar had an established portal, capital, and experience too. On 17th Birthday he launched another Hindi portal named “Rochak Tathya”. Rochak Tathya is a “fact and current affairs” curating platform. Tushar has followed many Facts Portal but all of them were in English, so this hit his mind and he planned to Start a Hindi Portal. Tushar says, Marketing and Idea played an important role, but also the way of presentation and our knowledge of what type of content public wants also helped us reach big milestones. Within a few months of launch, the platform had more than 2 million followers and it was one of the most popular Hindi language in India. Today the page is followed by more than 3.2 million people on Facebook and more than 1.1 million people on Instagram. The analytics from all the combined social media pages has revealed that Content posted by Rochak Tathya is reached to 50 Million People every month.
Moreover, Tushar has also worked with a variety of big brands in the market since then, such as Aajtak, Navbharat Times, Punjab Kesari, Western Union, Asian Paints. He is truly an inspiration for the youth of India. With his hard work and perseverance, he has proved that age is not a factor when it comes to succeeding and if you are committed to what you do, you can do wonders.
