Bluetooth SIG Approves Asus ROG Phone 8, Pro, And Zenfone 11 Ultra; Q1 2024 Release Is Anticipated

Asus announced in October that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor will be available in the next ROG Phone 8 series of gaming phones. One of the ROG Phone 8 versions has surfaced in the databases of Geekbench and China’s 3C certification platform in the weeks that have followed. Now that the Bluetooth SIG authority has given its clearance, the ROG Phone 8 series appears to be on the horizon. Furthermore, the Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra has also been certified on the same certification platform.

As can be observed, the Bluetooth SIG authority has approved the ROG Phone 8, which is identified by model numbers like ASUS_AI2401_D, ASUS_AI2401_A, ASUS_AI2401_C, and ASUS_AI2401_E.

Similar model numbers, such as ASUS_AI2401_A, ASUS_AI2401_C, and ASUS_AI2401_F, are also associated with the ROG Phone 8 Pro, which has also been certified by Bluetooth SIG.

Recall that the AI2401_A model was seen on Geekbench sporting a 65W fast charger in China’s 3C certification, along with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and Android 14. Conversely, the AI2401_D version with 24 GB of RAM has surfaced on Geekbench. Potentially, the ROG Phone 8 Ultimate might be offered as one of the ROG Phone 8 variations, most likely the one with 24 GB of RAM.

August saw reports that the Zenfone 10, which made its debut earlier this year, would be the company’s final Zenfone series phone. But Asus swiftly dispelled the rumour by formally announcing that it will keep making the Zenfone series. As seen in the screenshot above, the Zenfone 11 Ultra with the ASUS_AI2401_H is currently under development. It looks that the lineup may possibly feature at least one more model sporting the Zenfone 11 name, as the Ultra variant has now been seen. Regretfully, no information regarding the Zenfone 11 series’ specifications is available.

All of the aforementioned devices will enable Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, according to the Bluetooth SIG certification. It is possible that the ROG Phone 8 series may debut in various markets in Q1 2024.
