The First Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Phone With A 5,500mAh Battery Will Be The OnePlus Ace 3

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 sub-flagship phone, the OnePlus Ace 3, is expected to be unveiled by OnePlus in China tomorrow. Key specifications for the smartphone have been continuously provided by the manufacturer prior to debut. It released some posters today to verify the size of its battery.

Verified OnePlus Ace 3 battery dimensions

The Ace 3 is going to be the first phone in the world with a 5,500mAh Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 battery. The four-year lifespan of the battery makes it ideal for extended use. SuperVOOC S power management chip integration results in an industry-leading 99.5 percent discharge efficiency, which is a result of effective energy utilisation.

The Ace 3’s battery performance statistics are noteworthy. It can play videos for 17.4 hours, watch short films on Douyin for 15.7 hours, and play “Honour of Kings” for 8.7 hours before needing to be recharged. The Ace 3’s compatibility for 100W rapid charging has also been certified by the manufacturer. It won’t, however, support wireless charging.

Regarding other specifications, the OnePlus Ace 3 will include a 6.78-inch OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 1.5K resolution, provided by BOE. It will have a 50-megapixel (Sony IMX890, OIS) + 8-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit in addition to a 16-megapixel front camera. Three versions—12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB, and 16GB+1TB—are anticipated to be released. The starting price for these versions is predicted to be 3,299 Yuan (~$465). Three hues, including Star Black, Moon Sea, and Sand Gold, will be offered.

For areas like India, Europe, and North America, the OnePlus Ace 3 will be renamed as the OnePlus 12R. With the OnePlus 12, the 12R is anticipated to make its formal debut on January 23 at a worldwide launch event.
