Oscal Modern 8 Smartphone, Powered by the Unisoc T616, Launches for less than $100

Oscal unveils a new range of budget cellphones, despite the fact that some of the features are remarkable considering the price point. The Modern 8, a 6.75-inch smartphone with a huge 6,000 mAh battery and 18 W fast charging, is the first device in this mobile family. The Unisoc T616 is an entry-level octa-core processor used in this piece of hardware. Those who are interested can take advantage of the early bird 52% discount, which will be offered via AliExpress, between March 18 and March 27.

A 285,000 AnTuTu score, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage, microSD support up to 1 TB, and a 50 MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1-based main camera in addition to an 8 MP Samsung ISOCELL 4H7-equipped selfie snapper are some of the highlights that should be mentioned in addition to the specs listed above. The big IPS display boasts a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 450 nits of brightness, and 1600 X 720 pixels. Samsung first introduced the rear camera in the middle of 2021. It features a 1/2.76-inch sensor with 0.64μm pixels. The essentials of connectivity are there, however neither NFC nor 5G connectivity are available.

Oscal claims that in CPU-intensive games, this phone’s built-in cooling mechanism can maintain a temperature below 39 degrees Celsius. The previously mentioned battery has a standby life of up to 744 hours and an 8-hour gaming session on a full charge. Google Android 13 serves as the foundation for the DokeOS 4.0 mobile operating system.

There are three colour options for Oscal Modern 8: Wisteria Purple, Ripple Blue, and Ash Grey. The initial costs are $108.21 (8/256 GB) and $95.99 (8/128 GB).
