At The Weekend Box Office, The Flash Loses Steam While Spider-Man Rises Again

Transformers: In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Rise Of The Beasts pulled off a surprise upset. The Amazing Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends have reclaimed their rightful place in an otherwise stinky-ish box office during The Spider-Verse’s second week, dethroning the various webheads early in what was already a very successful run. After just four weeks, the movie made an additional $19 million, putting it over $300 million domestically. This was just enough to beat Pixar’s Elemental, which came in second place with $18 million and a total of $65 million in its second week.

The Flash then fell to third place in its second week, as predicted by the forecasters. The Scarlet Speedster, on the other hand, was only able to surpass Jennifer Lawrence’s No Hard Feelings by approximately $160,000 despite playing on 1,000 additional screens. The Flash saw a terrible drop of more than 70% from its debut, but if things don’t get worse, it should eventually surpass $100 million. In the meantime, following its crossing of that line last week, Transformers: Ascent Of The Monsters is easily completing out the main five with one more $11 million added to its aggregate, similarly as a little treat for the monsters.
