The Samsung Galaxy A55’s Soon to Arrive

The specs and features of Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy phones may not be very noteworthy. But because they are still widely accessible, they are still well-liked. We determined that the Galaxy A54 is the greatest value for a low-cost Samsung phone in 2023. The Galaxy A55, its replacement, is being developed by the business for 2024 and should go on sale as soon as possible. The phone’s design has already been made public by a few leaks, and now a new report has revealed all of its specifications.

The Galaxy A55 will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED panel with a 1,000 nit peak brightness, according to a WinFuture report. If that is accurate, the size has increased by 0.1 inches compared to the Galaxy A54, and the peak brightness has improved as well.

It appears that the OS and all of your favourite Android games and apps will run on an Exynos 1480 clocked at 2.75GHz. While the higher-end model supposedly comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, the entry-level Galaxy A55 should come with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Other speculated specifications, according to the article, include NFC, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6 and a microSD card slot.

The camera technology of the Galaxy A55 seems to be the same as that of its predecessor. It looks to have three cameras: a 12MP f/2.4 ultrawide, a 5MP f/2.4 macro, and a 50MP f/1.8 primary shooter with OIS. The phone could have a 32MP f/2.2 front-facing camera for taking selfies.

The phone will run on a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W rapid charging. Once more, the Galaxy A54 now offers the same battery capacity and charging speed. The One UI 6.1 software, which is based on Android 14, is expected to run on the Galaxy A55. What Galaxy AI features Samsung will include in its top mid-range phone is still unknown.

Pricing for the Galaxy A55 appears to start at 449 euros for the entry-level model in Europe, and the 256GB model should run you about 500 euros. The phone and the Galaxy A35 are expected to go on sale in Germany on March 11, 2024. The Galaxy A55 from Samsung will be available in white, purple, ice blue, and navy.

Press renders of the Galaxy A55 that were leaked have already fully disclosed its design. The phone will include a volume rocker and power button located on an elevated platform called “Key Island” to the right of the device. With the exception of a few minor design tweaks and an internal performance boost, it doesn’t seem like Samsung will be making any big improvements to their mid-range phone in 2024.
