HONOUR Recreates a Porsche 911 Sports Car For The 2024 Mobile World Congress in Addition to Other Things

DUTY DISCLAIMS PORSCHE DESIGN SMARTPHONES AT 2024 MWC

HONOUR is showcasing a number of artificial intelligence technologies at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona. These include the world premiere of its Magic V2 RSR foldable smartphone and Magic6 RSR smartphone, which were both developed in partnership with Porsche Design.

With a single protruding line in the centre, HONOUR and Porsche Design have collaborated to reproduce the 911 sports car model’s hood and engrave it onto the Magic V2 RSR’s back. This is the foldable smartphone. At MWC 2024 in Barcelona, the first Porsche Design foldable smartphone makes its world debut on stage. HONOUR goes one step further and releases a teaser for its smartphone brother, the Magic6 RSR.

The Magic6 RSR smartphone, which was developed in conjunction with Porsche Design, has a central camera positioned within its geometric, motorsports-inspired design, giving it the appearance of a Porsche race car. The teaser is in line with other AI-powered systems and gadgets that HONOUR unveiled at MWC2024, such as the eye-tracking AI system that can also be utilised in cars, the smartphone Magic6 Pro that can learn its user’s behaviour, a new camera setup that looks like it belongs in sports photography, and a drop-resistant screen glass for its new smartphone models that cushions drops.

DISCOVERING THE HONOUR MAGIC V2 RSR PORSCHE DESIGN

The Porsche Design HONOUR Magic V2 RSR foldable smartphone is the thinnest inward foldable smartphone available right now, folding down to around the thickness of a pencil. The foldable smartphone from HONOUR and Porsche Design boasts an aerospace-grade titanium alloy hinge that has withstood more than 100 folds and unfoldings in testing. When HONOUR and Porsche Design created the Magic V2 RSR, they had a sports car smartphone in mind. To emphasise this, they chose Agate Grey, a colour Porsche has used on the 911, Boxster, Cayman, Macan, and Panamera.

Utilising AI motion sensing capture technology, the foldable smartphone’s three-camera setup—a 50MP Main Camera, a 50MP Ultra-Wide Camera, and a 20MP Telephoto Camera—allows users to shoot and edit images and videos. In order to automatically unblur blurry shots when users record movies or photos, the setting uses an AI network that was trained on a large dataset of over 270,000 images. The AI model does this by intelligently filling in the gaps and pixels and recognising which parts need to be polished. The Porsche Design HONOUR Magic V2 RSR foldable smartphone has a unique watermark that users can enable to reveal to others that the images and videos were made with this sports car-inspired device, adding to the device’s limited-edition feel.

Screen Glasses for Honor’s Scratch-Resistant Nanocrystalline Shield

With the Honour smartphone line, Porsche Design is not yet finished. Along with the Magic V2 RSR, the pair also unveiled the scratch-resistant NanoCrystal Shield screen glass at MWC 2024. This glass will be used on the upcoming Magic6 and Magic6 PRO smartphones. Its silicon nitride coating over the nanocrystal glass substance is what prevents scratches. In order to make road and race automobiles resilient and able to endure the impact of hard and coarse surfaces like asphalt roads, quartz sandpaper, and marble, this material is frequently employed as a core engine and bearing component. This means that even if consumers rub the screen glass of their Porsche Design and Honour smartphones against asphalt roads, against marble surfaces, or with a sheet of quartz sandpaper, the glass will stay scratch-free.

MAGIC6 PRO AI SMARTPHONE REVEALED BY HONOUR AT MWC 2024

At MWC 2024 in Barcelona, the HONOUR Magic6 Pro—which comes in green ripple classic leather and black velvet matte glass—also made its premiere. It brought Magic 8.0, the most recent iteration of its Android-based operating system, which adds new AI functionality for customers. Magic Portal and Magic Capsule are two of these. Instead of requiring users to navigate between several apps, the former expands the information when they hit the alerts banner at the top of the screen and provides them with associated alternatives right away. The latter uses AI to learn the messaging and behaviour of the users. In this manner, when the AI system detects addresses in a text message, it instantly sends users to Google Maps; when it recognises an item’s image but is unsure of its location, it leads consumers back to the store; and so on.

The redesigned AI-powered HONOUR Falcon Camera and Motion Sensing Capture technology from the Porsche Design smartphones are also included in the HONOUR Magic6 PRO’s camera setup. Here, the artificial intelligence system anticipates and records critical times in extremely high definition, even when the subject is performing motion-sensitive tasks like dancing, jumping, or martial arts. It is built into the 50MP Ultra Wide Camera, the 180MP Telephoto Lens, and the 50MP Main Camera with Variable Aperture Capabilities.Since HONOUR added a silicon-carbon battery to the Magic6 PRO, the automotive industry has continued to influence design elements. As a result, users can watch videos on the smartphone for up to 81 minutes without it overheating, even with only 10 percent of the battery left, and it can charge to 100 percent in just 40 minutes.

HONOR’S NEW PAD TABLET AND MAGICBOOK LAPTOP

HONOUR will be showcasing artificial intelligence capabilities at MWC 2024. The company will also be launching the HONOUR MagicBook Pro 16, an AI-powered laptop, along with the new Porsche Design smartphones. Although its complete specifications are still being worked out, viewers may find it useful to know that it can synchronise and share content amongst HONOUR tablets, PCs, and smartphones to create a single shared workstation. HONOUR also unveiled its newest tablet, the HONOUR Pad 9, at MWC 2024. It features an eight-speaker audio system with HONOUR Histen sound tuning technology and a 12.1-inch 2.5K HONOUR FullView Display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
