Naad Tandav or Shiv Tandav Stotram is a unique piece of Hemant Joshi which was released on Youtube an year ago. The music video was a unique composition of audio and visuals that depicted the Shiv Tandav by Ravana in a distinct format. Talking about the piece, Hemant said “This Shiv Tandav was my dream project which I thought of when I was 11 years old. I had composed it back at that time and my dream came true because of Studio Shri Shakti and my brother Parag Bhai Chariya. So, I have done the composing, music, and singing in this video all by myself, because it’s my childhood work, as I mentioned. But I will forever be grateful to everyone who supported me in this.”

It is reported that the entire song was completed in just two days. It was a magnanimous effort by the team. There were a total number of eleven musical instruments being used in this Tandav which included Tabla, Pakhavaj, Drum, Duffel, Canoe, Sitar, Flute, Conch, Basket, Keyboard, African bass, and Tanpura. Besides composing and singing the song, Hemant Joshi was also seen playing the role of Ravana in the video. To this, the singer cum actor added this Tandava “I played the role of Mahabali Ravana, the dearest Parshad of Mahadev. This was the first acting performance of my life. So it will always remain very special. Acting in this video also earned me the nickname “Ravan”, for which I consider myself very lucky.” Many earlier reports suggest that Hemant is an extremely pious person and a supreme worshipper of Lord Mahakal. This was one of the primary reasons he composed this track!
