Signing with Sony Music Entertainment for digital music marketing was life-changing – Chris Yangello

It seems that we are all on a journey to find our purpose. Everyone is constantly looking for that one thing that brings them ultimate happiness. Most people out there don’t usually find their passion or purpose in life until they have reached the age of maturity. And for a few others, they have found what they want out of life at such a young age. One of these rare people is Chris Yangello, who has found what he loves to do at the age of 17.

At a time when most of his peers are focusing on finishing school, Chris is traveling across the country, contributing to big music events and getting to work with some of the most famous artists in the music business. He has managed to create his own digital music marketing company called Forever* and has built a great social media following.

Some of his most notable successes are signing up with Sony Music Entertainment’s “REDMusic Label” (now called “The Orchard”), as well as working with globally known musicians such as Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Juice WRLD, Travis Scott, Trippie Redd, 6lack, Meek Mill, Lil Skies, Zedd, Kygo, and more. He has also done media work and content creation at festivals such as Firefly Music Festival, Dreamville Festival in Raleigh, NC, Coachella 2019 and so many more.

When thinking back to being signed with REDMusic, Chris talks about his mentor, Ellen Wilson. He says that Ellen has given him many opportunities and she never hesitated to answer his questions, no matter if they would seem childish at times.
Running a business at 17 years old and being able to build relationships with people that are highly successful, is a personality trait of itself. Not many people can achieve what Chris is doing for the moment.

He started as a video content creator and now has taken things to a different level. Chris feels humble and blessed about what he is doing with his life and claims to love the work in the music business.

Even though Chris does not make music himself, working as a digital marketer, live event producer, and social influencer has allowed him to see all the diversity that hides behind working with famous musicians. While waiting to graduate from high school to then go to college, Chris seems to take in every opportunity of work that presents itself to him.

He is proof that age is not a limitation when it comes to doing what you love. Even though the road is hard, everything can be achieved through dedication and a positive mindset. ‘It gets to their head but not mine,’ says Chris when it comes to negative thinking.
